JD Tucker Records On:

The Records

Happiness Begins with You
You make the Choice, You make it True
Right here, Right now

     --JD Tucker "Love's the Way"

JD is a singer-songwriter, dog-loving guy with two great kids and a great wife (not in that order).  If you like stories, well-crafted lyrics and catchy melodies, you will like JD's songs.

He is heading back into the studio this Fall to record his next two albums.  "I'm looking forward to getting these out," said JD sitting on his back porch overlooking the Cheasapeake. " I have 4 albums worth of material so it's time to get crackin'."

Born in New York and JD lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay, JD's influences include the Beatles, early Elton John, Jim Croce, David Gates, Eagles and James Taylor, Hank Williams Jr. and Sr.,  to more contemporary artists like David Gray, Damien Rice, Tim McGraw, and Chris Stapleton.

What do you get in a JD Tucker Song?  Love. Relationships. Family. Kids. God. Dogs. The meaning of life. And even mimes.  If you meet him, you could end up in his next song. But if you listen, you will find that you are already in them.

"Most of the songs capture various events in my life," said JD. "If you put them  in the right order you would have my life's journal.  Even when I set out to write a song about someone else's experiences, I find the songs end up with a big autobiographical element."

JD has been blessed to play with some of the greats out of the New York music scene including Terry Fabrizio, Ray Marchica, Stuart Waters, Margaret Dorn, Larry Campbell, Kurt Yaghjian, John James, Andricka Hall and Marcelino Thompson.  Great players and great people!!

As for Terry Fabrizio....JD says "Quite simply, THE BEST!!!!. I have been working with Terry for a couple of decades. A great producer, arranger, guitar player and one of my best friends. We have spent hundreds of hours in the studio together." Check out Terry's recoding studio 'The Gate' in New York.

So it's back in the studio time. "I have a lot more songs that need to get recorded and we have already begun laying down some tracks for the next two albums," said JD. "There are also a couple of oldies from the attic dating back to the 1900's including some rough and some polished demos. I love being in the studio but when you're up on the stage it's so unbelievable, unforgettable....just like Supertramp said."

JD will be out on tour both solo in an "unplugged"format- the Singer Songwriter- and with a band that will feature guests like Terry Fabrizio and Stu Waters.  Look for him from Virginia to New York.

"And in the end,--- I HAVE learned the hard way that--- the love you take is equal to the love you make. The Lads were right. But you can also change the world when you change yourself. So reach out and touch someone! Show them the way. Don't hesitate!!"

Love's the Way!
